Looking for talented senior Level 3 Cloud Support Engineer with a passion for technology and building strong customer relationships to join our growing team to support a contract expansion for one of our leading global customers.
You will be required to provide hands-on operational support for the Modality Systems Cloud Service infrastructure and take a leading role in the ongoing development, management and support and of the various Modality Systems environments and the underlying technologies.
The role will provide an escalation point within the Cloud Services team and other operational teams within the business who consume resource and services from GCI Cloud Services platforms.
You will be required to progress all support incidents and technical escalation in line with the GCI SLA.
You will have the opportunity to work with the latest leading edge technologies in an environment.
You will be part of a team of operations engineers which will be required to work a shift pattern covering EMEA, US and APAC time zones.
Main Responsibilities will include:
Ensure all BAU activities in the form of watch points are performed within the environment
Provide an escalation point for technical incidents and problems within the Cloud Services team
Assist Architects with project work and service improvements when required
Work independently on assigned projects/tasks when required
Provisioning customer IaaS, BaaS, NaaS and SaaS offerings in line with technical documentation
Ad Hoc Duties
Act in a mentor role to the Cloud Service engineers

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Expert Hands-on knowledge of Cloud and Hosted services infrastructure, including but not limited to Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud, Dedicated and Multi-Tenant environments, Virtualisation, VMware, Hyper-V, Storage and Backup solutions, Windows Server OS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, LAN/WAN and Firewall technologies
Microsoft MCSE or VMware VCAP or equivalent experience essential
Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience essential
Demonstrable provision and operation of these solutions/services within a Service Provider environment is desired
Plans ahead and establishes appropriate courses of action to achieve objectives
Is well organised and able to multi task effectively
Ensures deadlines are met and requests for information/support are provided within the agreed timescales
Prioritises effectively to ensure work is completed on time
Responsive and follows through on agreed actions
Administration is accurate and completed in a timely manner
Able to express ideas and information clearly and concisely
Ensures that all parties are informed when the action may impact others
Communicates effectively both verbally and in written format
